Religious Education
St Bernadette's is a Catholic School which unites a community of faith. This is the reason for our existence and the teachings of Jesus Christ are at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that this this is clearly expressed through our Mission Statement and reflected in our relationships with each other at every level.
We celebrate our faith in a variety of ways; class based liturgies, as well as a whole-school assemblies; united with our school Parish community we celebrate both in our School and Church.
The programme for teaching Religious Education is based on “Come and See” and it is integrated into many other aspects of the curriculum. In accordance with the guidelines from the Bishops' Conference the children at St Bernadette’s receive 2.5 hours of Religious Education each week.
